What Technology Features Does the 2020 BMW X1 Have?

A BMW crossover wouldn’t be any good if it didn’t have an impressive array of technology inside and out. The smallest crossover BMW makes is the X1, a subcompact that fits plenty of high tech features in it despite its size. For the 2020 BMW X1, this means a sophisticated infotainment system, head-up display, safety technology, and much more. Read on below to learn more about the technology you will find inside the 2020 BMW X1.

What Kind of Infotainment System Does the 2020 BMW X1 Have?

The available infotainment system in the 2020 BMW X1 is a large 8.8 inches and features voice command technology as well. It’s a full-color, response touch screen deserving of the BMW name. Some infotainment screens are in-line with the dashboard, and some look more like they are sticking up out of the dashboard. In this case, the BMW X1 uses the raised look, which will often be better for taller drivers or those who prefer to sit closer to the wheel.

How Efficient is the 2020 BMW X1 Engine?

Does the BMW X1 Have a Head-Up Display?

Whether you call it a head-up display or a heads-up display, it’s a technology that is quickly gaining traction among car buyers in every price range. While this technology is still early in its development among consumer-level vehicles, the BMW X1 has one. Unlike the head-up displays made by other automakers, the BMW head-up display looks clear and even depicts your current route artistically instead of just with arrows.

Does the BMW X1 Have Driver Assist Technology?

The 2020 BMW X1 has a list of driver-assist technologies called the Active Driving Assistant. In daylight, the vehicle can detect when pedestrians walk in front of the car and automatically stop. When a collision with another vehicle is imminent, the car will warn the driver and start to apply braking force. An alarm will also go off if a driver starts to drift out of a lane unintentionally. Speed limit information is updated in real-time by connection with GPS, and the high beams activate and deactivate automatically on dark roads. As with any driver-assist system, none of these technologies can replace an attentive and careful driver.
