2023 RAM 1500Performance and Capabilities

The new RAM 1500 comes with solid powertrain options. Out of the electrical V6 and V8 engines, the EcoDiesel 3L V6 is more popular. Maximum performance is possible with the supercharged 6.2L V8 engine in the TRX trim, which is capable of generating 702 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft of torque and has a suspension specifically designed for increased desert acceleration. The standard powertrain consists of a 5.7L V8 engine that produces 395 hp and 410 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Another available engine is the 3.6L V6 with an eTorque system. The Four-wheel drive system is optional and only comes standard with the TRX. The 1500 trucks are known for their steady steering, confident handling, and secure braking. Also, the minimum towing capacity is 11,540 lbs.
